Project Overview

Business Needs

The Third Stage Consulting team hired us to build a website that functions as a powerful marketing and communications tool used to attract new clients, position itself as a thought leader in the industry and provide credibility to potential joint venture partners. The primary business needs included:

  • Addressing page design issues through a user journey focused methodology

  • Addressing broken links, page speed issues and search engine optimization

  • Addressing menu and site navigation through a revised information architecture

target audience

The target audience for the Third Stage Consulting website included clients who want to be leaders in their industry and understand value in a methodical and successful digital transformation or ERP implementation. The new website assists the target audience in achieving the following:

  • Easily locate information relative to events, reports, lead magnets, and service offerings

  • Navigate to specific details of Third Stage Consulting approach to ERP implementation

  • Convert to leads directly into a CRM through meaningful website interactions

Competitive Analysis

Our research phase began with a deep dive into the top 5 competitors in the ERP consulting and digital transformation market. By comparing and contrasting the effective visual design, SEO strategy, and content organization methodologies of their competitors as well as the TSC list of ‘must haves’ we were able to generate a clear and concise road-map.

Wire-frames

We completed our wire framing solutions with simple but effective layouts which would allow for ease of implementation using the WordPress + Oxygen platform. The primary focus remained on accentuating the thought leadership and service indices to simply the user journey. Many of the re-usable portions of these wires informed page templates on the build.

Branding & Style

Halfway through the project the Third Stage team elected to update their branding and style guide to create a more consistent approach through all marketing touch points. We chose to work slowly through the branding process with 4-5 revisions bringing the logo, fonts, colors, and brand aesthetic into unity with the visual design approach of the website. This helped to ensure that every pixel in the branding packet would represent the same care and professionalism the TSC team invests in their clients.

SEO Audit & Strategy

A great website is more than design and user interaction. The experience is enhanced by what you read and how you end up on the website. We focused on SEO as well as customer relevant content right from the beginning of the project to ensure that search was driving potential clientele to the page. The site was designed with the user in mind and the content was engineered to foster increased search engine results while maintaining a unified voice to engage website visitors.

Thought Leadership System

One of the key design challenges was the restructuring of the thought leadership content. Our goal was to place the content type into broader buckets where clients would intuitively decide to browse. We restructured from a generic list of resources into 6 primary thought leadership categories, each utilizing some portion of the template design system which accommodated a posting structure.

Hubspot CRM Integration

A key business need for the website engagement with potential clients was lead drivers. The form elements and integration with Hubspot landing pages was eliminated by creating a custom post type featuring the snippet and lead capture form. This created an opportunity to drive consumers direct into a marketing funnel reducing the number of page loads and steps to warm lead from 4 steps down to 2 steps.
